Lake Murray Practice Blogg

April 20

Got stopped for speeding on the way to the lake so got a late start to the day not making my first cast to almost eight o'clock.

Spent the first 30 minutes or so throwing a spook across some of the wind blown points but didn't have any luck doing that so very quickly changed up to a merthialate topwater worm and started catching fish immediately.

Fished to 12:30 and caught 10 to 12 bass between 2 and 5 1/2 pounds.

The weather was sunny and warm with wind blowing 20 to 30 mph.

May 4

Caught 20 to thirty bass ranging from 1/2 to six pounds on either a Clear Spook or a Merthialate Topwater Worm.

The floating worm fish came around piers and the green grass growing in two to three feet of water while the fish on the spook bit over a submerged island.

Saw a few big fish on beds and had a bass 8 to 10 pounds follow just a few inches behind a swimbait but would not take it

The weather was sunny, in the 80's, and light winds.

Feeling pretty good about the tournament coming up May 10.
