Fished this tournament
on Clarks Hill Lake with one of my customers, Mike Shipes. We spent
the first hour of the morning looking for a topwater bite that was nowhere
to be found.
The first cast
I made pitching a 4" Watermelon Seed worm around isolated brush
I caught a small keeper just over 12". From there it was on.
We caught between
30 and 40 fish during the coarse of the day but none of any size. We
moved to several different locations and tried several different lures
to entice a bigger bite but could not find it.
We wound up with
10 and a half pounds. It took right at 19 to win and over seventeen
to place in the money so obviously some found the big ones.
